New High Rise for Paris

PARIS UNVEILED PLANS for a pyramid-shaped tower in the south-west of the capital, the first new high-rise building to be built in the French capital for 30 years. The construction of the pyramid - up to 200 metres tall - is due to begin in 18 months. Here is a photo of the design. What do you think?

Count me as undecided. I like the boldness of the idea, but I'm sure it fits in a city like Paris. Of course, that's what they said about the Eiffel Tower and that's worked out OK.

i don't think its such a bad idea - there hasnt been any econmic activity in Paris for years now

But maybe it will look out of place - I think the Paris appeal comes from how simple and romantic and relaxed the city is - not because of its economy
